The Nordica Enforcer 88 falls pretty squarely into the aggressive all-mountain ski category. It places an emphasis on strong powerful turns on firm snow, but it offers the necessary versatility and forgiveness needed to perform in a wide array of terrain and conditions. A dense wood core sandwiched between two full sheets of Titanal provide the power and precision that you would expect from a ski like this. You can lay this thing over at high speeds and have full trust in this ski’s ability to provide seemingly endless edge hold. Also featured in this ski’s construction are two laminates of carbon stringers which help keep the weight down while providing some added stability and rebound to the ski’s flex for a nice snap at the exit of a turn. This ski definitely takes a fair amount of skier input to really drive into a carve, but thanks to a bit of rocker both in the tip and the tail, you can maneuver the ski quite easily on steeper, more technical terrain where you’d need the ski to pivot. The tip shape featured by this ski offers maneuverability when skied with a lower edge angle and a longer effective edge the further you lay the ski over. Theres no question that this ski prefers an aggressive style of skiing, but among other similar skis, the Enforcer offers a touch more playfulness in comparison without really giving up any stability or carving performance. This ski would be a great daily-driver option for skiers in areas that don’t receive a ton of snowfall, or for skiers who just want a frontside ski with which they can carve on as well as jump off the groomed terrain and go ski some bump, trees and softer snow.
